Location

The bridge is currently closed to all land traffic, at all times. It is best viewed from the water, or failing that, from Bank St Pyrmont and the adjacent waterfront path. Distant views may also be seen from Blackwattle Bay Park in Glebe, and pedestrians crossing ANZAC bridge may glimpse Glebe Island Bridge below and to the north.

To get to the Pyrmont end of the Glebe Island Bridge by public transport:

  • By light rail, alight at the Fish Market station and walk 400m north-west along Bank Street.
  • By bus from central Sydney, take route 443 from the Queen Victoria Building to the end of Harris Street and walk 500m along Bowman Street.
  • By bus from Central Station, take route 501 to the Fish Market and walk 400m north-west along Bank Street.

To get to the Rozelle end of the Glebe Island Bridge by public transport:

  • Several bus routes run along Victoria Road, Rozelle. Alight near Hornsy Street and walk 60m south along Victoria Road and then 450m along James Craig Drive.
